H.E. Fardowsa Osman Egal
Current Minister of Transport & Civil Aviation (MoTCA) of the Federal Government of Somalia. Honorable Fardowsa Osman Egal is a Somali politician and a committed and passionate public servant. She is currently serving as a Member of Somali Federal Parliament. Between 2019 – 2022, Honorable Egal served as the state minister at Ministry of Labor, Youth and Sports of Puntland State of Somalia. Honorable Egal has over 15 years experience of public service both in Somalia and in the United States. She has Masters of Public Administration and Political Science and Bachelor of Human Services and Public Administration. As a State Minister of Labour, Honorable Egal, led the civil service reform in Puntland.

2019-2022: State Minister at Ministry of Labor, Youth and Sports of Puntland State of Somalia

I led the Puntland civil service reform where we succeeded in creating and enforcing 15 different policies, procedures, functions, and best practices for Puntland Department of Labor. From Civil Servant Recruitment, Biometric registration, Pay and Grading, And Pension/retirement. She also succeeded in establishing the Puntland Institute of Public Administration Management (IPAM). Fardowsa was the lead for all intergovernmental Projects and the World Bank projects for Ministry of Labor.
2022 – 2026: House of the people of the Federal Republic of Somalia

Elected to represent the District of Galdogob, Mudug, Somalia. I am passionate about actively participating in the legislative agenda to champion social and human services particularly in education and youth empowerment.
